About Me
.Welcome.
I’m a humanistic psychotherapist and counsellor with a deep respect for the uniqueness of each person and the richness and complexity of their lived experience. At the heart of my work is a commitment to creating a trusting, supportive therapeutic relationship—one grounded in deep listening, authenticity, and compassion. I believe it’s within the safety of this kind of relationship that healing, growth, and meaningful change can unfold.
My approach is pluralistic, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic traditions and practices to meet you where you are. No single approach works for everyone, and I honour the importance of responding to your individual story, needs, and way of making sense of the world.
My work is informed by existential thought, Eastern philosophy, somatic (body-based) awareness, and the gentle practice of Focusing. These influences support me in walking alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges—whether that involves trauma, grief, loss of meaning, relational pain, or a feeling of being ungrounded or lost.
I am proud to be an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and the Hearing Voices movement. I hold space with care and non-judgment, respecting the many ways people experience and understand their inner worlds.
In addition to my therapeutic work, I’m engaged in ongoing research with a particular interest in Embodied Critical Thinking and Understanding (ECTU), which allows me to stay curious, reflective, and connected to the evolving landscape of human experience.
I have been practicing for over fifteen years, working both in private practice and non-for-profit organisations. I hold academic qualifications in Social Science, Counselling, Buddhist Philosophy and Psychotherapy, Social Work, and currently studying Suicidology and am a registered member of PACFA (clinical), SEA (clinical), IASD, SPA, and Grief Australia. My training and continued professional development are important to me, and I regularly engage in supervision and further study to ensure I practice with integrity and care.
Outside of the therapy room, I find nourishment in nature—whether hiking, swimming, or catching the quiet beauty of a sunrise. These moments of connection with the natural world often remind me of the resilience and mystery that exists within all of us.
If you feel drawn to work together, I welcome you just as you are.
